The agribusiness sector represents about one third of the Brazilian GDP and is considered the most important sector in the national economy. In addition, Brazil was one of the few countries that managed to increase agribusiness exports during the pandemic.
In the case of foreign investment, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply reported that only 6% of foreign investment in Brazil is destined for agriculture and livestock.
However, Brazil is taking new measures to change and improve this scenario. This webinar presents the Economic Freedom Act (Law No. 13,874), which aims to simplify the requirements of doing business in Brazil in terms of its impacts on the agribusiness sector.
