How To Get Wholesale Dropshipping Agreements (eBay, Amazon, Shopify)

Recently ebay made a change to their TOS were they say you can dropship from wholesale suppliers but not other retailers or marketplaces. “Drop shipping, where you fulfill orders directly from a wholesale supplier, is allowed on eBay.”
“However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay.”
Now before you go and write a comment saying retail is allowed, although your comment will help with my engagement this video about how to get a wholesale contract when working with wholesale suppliers to better protect your business.
So how does having a wholesale contract protect your business?
There are two main reasons why you’d want to have a contract with your suppliers. The first is that it outlines the terms for the contract so you know what to expect. The second reason is that you have a document in the event eBay or Amazon ask you for proof that you work with this supplier.
So let’s talk about how to get a wholesale contract. I’ve already have a few videos showing how to find suppliers which you should definitely watch. But once you find a supplier that you want to work with they are going to have you fill out a wholesale application.
When you sign up for a new supplier, they’ll usually either have download or fill out an application on their website. On the contract they’ll have you fill in your business name, address and sales tax ID.
Once you submit this contract you are signifying that you have read and agreed to all of these companies terms. This is why it’s important to read the contract and know what you are agreeing to. It’s not like those other contracts where you don’t read and agree, you want to read this in its entirety.
