The AAP government in Delhi will fill in two vacant ministerial berths today with the induction of Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj. The reshuffle was necessitated after Manish Sisodia and Satender Jain, both key ministers who are now in jail on corruption and money laundering allegations respectively, resigned from their posts.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has defended them both saying they are being targeted. Their arrest and subsequent resignations also meant that 18 departments that were previously handled by Sisodia and Jain, needed immediate attention.
