So I had a terrible experience where me and a buddy split a taxi fair. we were both at different terminals and taxi driver agreed on $40. $20 a person. When he arrived to drop me off first he ran my card for $45 then would not take my buddy to his terminal. He then had to pay $20 for another taxi to his terminal. Taxis in Cancun are hustlers and thieves. Us travelers allow them to do this and its time for us to ban together to stop this industry there and bring in uber.

How can you help?
Stay away from taxis all together. - Cancun has a great public bus transit that only cost 12 pesos. Thats only like $.60 in US. Also if you need a ride to the airport best way is to order a shuttle service online. Also check with your hotel you are staying at. often times they have their own shuttle service.
