Hi all,
it was 14th year my father Passed away and we performed shradh pooja vidhi at our home . The rituals was performed as per GSB tradition and also made vairities of konkani food and dishes.
In Hinduism, Sraddha is the ritual that one performs to pay homage to one's especially to one's dead parents. Conceptually, it is a way for people to express their heartfelt gratitude and thanks towards their parents and ancestors, for having helped them to be what they are and praying for their peace.
t also can be thought of as a day of remembrance". It is performed for both the father and mother separately, on their respective date (tithi) of death as per the Hindu calender.
