To guide buyers and sellers of goods in international trade transactions, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) publishes a set a commercial guidelines known as International Commercial Terms.

These terms are periodically revised and updated to meet modern realities and developments in international trade. The current version is known as Incoterms 2020.
