Update Landslide Road - Gilgit - Skardu
Road Gilgit - Skardu blocked due to landslide today at chamachou site. Approximately 100 meters of road came under heavy slide blocking the road completely. FWO troops with engineer equipment immediately moved to slide area. All stranded people due to slide evacuated to safer area. Hot meals served to all families struck due to slide. Temporary field medical camp established. Pedestrian crossing made to facilitate move. FWO assisting civil administration for opening which will take considerable time due to heavy slide .
