Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil and the province's chief medical officer of health, Dr. Robert Strang held their daily COVID-19 briefing on Wednesday, where they confirmed 17 new positive cases, bringing the total confirmed cases to 68 in the province.

Nova Scotia has declared a state of emergency and limited public gatherings of more than five people amid the coronavirus outbreak.
