Sky News Reporter Julia Bradley says NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese were met with a “bit of frustration” from locals during their tour of flood-hit areas of Sydney.
Ms Bradley discussed the issue with Windsor resident Scott Hinks, who confronted the two leaders this morning about the impacts of the recent flooding.
“We’re in disasters over and over again,” Mr Hinks said.
“Now raising the dam wall may be a suggestion, but you’re still looking at five, six, seven years to get that done and whether or not they even do that. From a disaster point of view, we need to start with something,” he said.
“And from my humble opinion, at least lowering the water when you know that there is a significant rain event coming has got to make a difference to us.”
