My name is Norman Rivera. I'm a Senior Emergency Medical Dispatcher,
I've worked with the Toronto Public Service for 22 years.
My main responsibilities are to communicate and liaise with the EMDs, the SES, and the Deputy Commander, but ultimately to provide support and leadership to the EMDs. This year, I was awarded the Senior EMD Leadership Award. It is a peer-nominated award.
I am quite humbled and flattered that I was nominated and recognized by my peers. I can't really take full credit for it. Being a senior EMD, we attempt to provide mentorship and leadership to our peers working in this team environment it is a team effort, and being a mentor as a senior EMD has fostered that particular leadership award. So, thank you very much.
