Achro Thar desert is spread over an area of 23000 km. This white desert has unique identity as it is spread in five districts of Sindh. It is an open museum of nature.
The five main places which one should visit here are Chonra houses of thar, lakes of Achro Thar, Fish Sajji of Sanghar, Unique Charpai maker Ajiz Bugti and Ata Chanio Museum.
The real identity of achro thar is their chora houses which are here in large numbers. These houses on sand dunes present a beautiful view. These are the palaces of the people of thar. A normal chonra gets ready in 20,000 rupees. This is a unique lifestyle of a village which exist in Pakistan.
Achro thar is blessed with almost 400 lakes. These lakes are fresh water lakes, salty and rain water lakes. The famous lakes of achro thar include botar lake, baqar lake, kalankar lake, salt lakes and many more. These lakes also provide employment opportunities to the locals.
Fish Saji is also a unique dish that only exists in Sanghar. This fish saji is famous due to its taste. It takes two and half hours to prepare this sajji. This fish sajji is prepared with eight sausages. Then it is served with tamarind sauce.

Achro Thar has skillful people as well. One of them is Ajiz Bugti who prepares designed charpai with his hands. He is making this charpai for last thirty years. His hand made charpai goes all over Pakistan and also to foreign countries.
Another unique place to visit is the Ata Chanio Museum which has a large collection of antique items. This museum has fossils, ornaments, coins and a large collection of books. This museum is located in the middle of the desert.
