Frozen dragon fruit sherbet, for more content, check out @authenticteecee.
Rating: 6/10. The taste is an 8/10. I deducted points because the element that should bear the weight only literally carries the weight. The dragon fruit enhances the dish aesthetically, providing vibrant color contrast with black seeds and red flesh, but the real stars are the strawberries and lime.
Points were also deducted because the seeds don't stand out as well as hers did; they blend in, causing occasional hard pieces from strawberry seeds during chewing.
Additionally, points were deducted as you might not be able to try the pink flavor. I found white fresh and bagged pink flesh. Dragon fruit variations like white, yellow, and pink interiors exist, though they taste the same to me—like a cold, unsweetened kiwi. The texture is also somewhat similar to a kiwi.
Here's the original recipe (I didn't measure anything, I won't lie 😭😂😂 but credit to @): (thank you)
- 3 cups frozen dragon fruit (aka pitaya)
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup (2 oz) honey, agave, or maple syrup
- 2 tbsp (1 oz) freshly squeezed lime juice.
