The Prokletije National Park marks the border between Montenegro and Albania. The “Accursed Mountains” are known for its rocky and steep mountains.
We took a day trip to three peaks of the mountains of which two are marking marking the border itself. Our right leg was in Albania while our left leg remained in Montenegro. What an experience!!!
From the top of Popadija, Talijanka and Volusnica (all around 2000m / 6500 ft high) we could see the shepherds from both countries taking care of there sheeps, goats and cows. But the highlight was the view on the Grebaje valley & its gorgeous peaks of Maja Karanfil & Maja e Jezerce.
