Singer Lindsey Buckingham asserts many of these songs weren’t just messages to the audience. They were messages from the bandmates to each other. His turbulent relationship with Stevie Nicks provided plenty of material for emotionally dense lyrics. They were instrumental in forming Fleetwood Mac but also part of the reason it broke up.

Lindsey tried several times to find other relationships after that. He felt he’d found the right one when he met Kristen Messner. They had three children together. It was a cliche Hollywood happy ending until it wasn’t. Their relationship became strained. The constant contact of COVID-19 lockdowns didn’t make things any better.

They recently separated and filed for divorce. They’re still working things out in the courts.
That leaves time for a reconciliation. The couple hopes that, somehow, they can find the love they once had. What about fans hoping for a Fleetwood Mac revival?
