Herb Jones finished in the top 10 in steals, tallied a combined 2.2 stocks per game (steals + blocks), and ranked in the top 5 in deflections per game (just behind Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Paul George, and tied with Alex Caruso).

The most fun thing about Herb Jones is his relentlessness. Yes, he’s got the length to make the offense miserable standing at 6’8” with a 7 foot wingspan but what stands out is how high his motor is. Sometimes he’s tasked with being the off-ball chaser on great shooters, sometimes he’ll have to take on a matchup in the post against the big wings (Luka Doncic & LeBron James come to mind), and of course, he’s tasked with getting out on an island against First Team All-NBAers. The blocked 3 pointers are fun but watch him in any game and he’s in constant motion. Always relocating to get himself in the right positions defensively. He’s proactive more than he’s reactive when he’s off-ball.
