Ingredients for Siopao Chicken Asado
ASADO FILLING:
1 tbsp Cooking oil
3 cloves Garlic
50 gm Onion
600 gm Chicken breast
2 tbsp Soy sauce
1 tbsp Hoisin sauce
20 gm Brown sugar
1/4 tsp Ground black pepper
1 piece Bay leaf
1 piece Star anise
1 cup Water
DOUGH:
1/2 cup Lukewarm water
1 tbsp Caster sugar (for yeast mixture)
1/2 tsp Instant dried yeast
1 1/2 cup Pau flour (Pao flour)
(or you can also use All-purpose flour)
1 tbsp Caster sugar (for dry mixture)
1 tbsp Shortening
