This lecture explores the value of expanding care delivery using best-practice telehealth tools and services. It will also describe the growing use of telemonitoring systems as a bi-directional and electronically-mediated delivery of health care over short or great distances; how social determinants are related to access to care needs and telehealth solutions; consideration of appropriate telehealth technologies in the context of physiological, psychiatric, and psychological assessments and remote monitoring; and collaborative self-management support and patient self-care feedback loops under the supervision of trained health care providers.
