Netflix’s Dark is a series that is full of mystery and asks more questions than it answers. In season 2 we learned more about Jonas Kahnwald (Louis Hofmann) at three different points in his life through time travel. At the end his older self, who goes by the name Adam, kills the love of his life Martha Nielson (Lisa Vicari). Adam is the leader of a group called Sic Mundus who have a god particle time machine under Winden’s church. One of the biggest mysteries the show has yet to explain is how the young Jonas becomes the older versions of himself.
At the end of Dark season 2 the younger Jonas is saved by an alternate version of Martha who says she’s from another world. Jonas leaves Winden and possibly the world we know with this mysterious new alt-Martha character. We expect that in season 3 he will visit her world, and we hope to learn when he becomes The Stranger.
Middle Jonas saves Magnus, Bartosz, and Franziska from the apocalypse at the end of Dark season 2. We guess that The Stranger will end up in 1921 eventually to form Sic Mundus and become Adam. We know that older Magnus is working closely with Adam and Sic Mundus, and we expect that two unnamed characters are older versions of Franziska and Bartosz. In the second season Jonas learns that Adam wants to destroy the world, and joins forces with Claudia Tiedemann who believes that can alter the course of events. He helps the younger adult Claudia survive the apocalypse in the bunker with her daughter Regina. Peter and Elisabeth Doppler, and the younger Noah also survive in the bunker.

Dark season 3 will be the final season of the Netflix series. We expect the showrunners to explain the answers to questions that we have had after the first two seasons. Time travel, the founding of Sic Mundus Creatus Est, Adam’s plan to destroy time, Claudia’s plan, and what will happen to Winden after the apocalypse.
