The Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital which is currently being constructed at Salford Royal has now reached the 'topping out' stage. This means the construction of the building's shell has reached its highest point. Work on the new £68million hospital began in February 2021 and the hospital is expected to open to patients in summer 2023.
