Bach’s own transcription of Vivaldi’s instrumental concerto was originally done for organ. Here the gifted French percussionist Adelaide Ferrière plays her unusual arrangement of the Allegro from Bach’s organ concerto - for marimba. As if by magic, Adelaide lets the mallets glide over the bars to perform Bach in an impressive manner. It is a fascinating and real firework display for the ears, and watching her play the marimba is breathtaking.
