This is a clip from my stream on Twitch. This is on my first playthrough (standard difficulty) and I already found a good way to beat him. I used the Killer 7 with max damage upgrade in this fight. This strategy should also work for higher difficulty.
Pointers:
1. Run to the ladder and Krauser will chase after you
2. Once Krauser jumps up, there is a brief moment to shoot him. Hit him with a powerful shot from your weapon of choice. Then jump down immediately after.
3. Throughout the fight, evade/run away from his attacks. Repeat steps 1 & 2.
4. When he misses an attack, capitalize on it and open fire on him.
5. Pay attention to melee prompts pop up after you hit him, melee and get free damage in on him. I believe if you do enough headshot damage he will stagger allowing for a melee prompt.
6. Defeat Krauser and show him whos boss
