The former Blaenau Ffestiniog station was opened by the LNWR in 1881 to replace a temporary terminus. The station was renamed North in 1951, then back to Blaenau Ffestiniog in 1968 before closing in 1982 to be replaced by a new, more central station.
The single platform remains with a few bits of old signs and other platform furniture remaining. The building was demolished a few years ago. Today trains pass by the site about a dozen times a day with trains to and from Llandudno.
The former extensive slate exchange sidings, which linked to the narrow gauge Ffestiniog Railway have now been built over with an industrial estate.
Filmed on 28th November and 6th December 2020.
