An Anti-Austerity March took place Saturday on O'Connell Street. A large crowd, estimated at 10,000+, consisted of various interest groups but notably, The United Left Alliance, Sinn Fein, People Before Profit and Trade Union Groups. It has been flagged for weeks as "the start" of a concerted campaign against Austerity. A second March was announced by today's organisers at the March, for December 5th, Budget Day, starting outside the Central Bank on Dublin's Dame Street.
