Honey Garlic Meatballs
Meatball Ingredients:
1 Lb 80/20 Ground Beef
1/4 Cup Dehydrated Mashed Potatoes
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tbsp Garlic (minced)
2 Tbsp Ginger (minced)
1/4 Cup Sweet Onion (diced)
1 Egg
Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper
Garnish:
Sesame Seeds
Green Onion (thinly sliced)
Sauce Ingredients:
3 Tbsp Coconut Aminos (sub soy sauce)
1 Tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
1 Tbsp Chili Garlic Sauce
2 Tbsp Honey
1/2 tsp Sesame Oil
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 Tbsp Corn Starch
Salt and Pepper to taste.
*In a medium size bowl combine all sauce ingredients, whisk until combined and set aside. (NOTE: I recommend to double the recipe if you want a lot of sauce)
*In a large bowl combine ground beef, dehydrated potato, worcestershire, 1 Tbsp each of minced garlic and ginger, 1/8 cup diced onion, egg, salt and pepper. Mix and roll into 12 even size meatballs.
*In a large pan on medium heat, add 1-2 Tbsp of olive oil, sear meatballs on both sides. Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the oven set to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes or until cooked to 160 degrees internally.
*In the same large pan on medium/low heat, add remaining garlic, ginger, and onion. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add all of your sauce to the pan and heat until slightly thickened. Add meatballs back to the pan and cover in the sauce.
*Serve with some jasmine rice on the side and garnish with green onion and sesame seeds.
