Have you ever needed new curtains in your home, but didn't want to pay for expensive curtains in a store or online. Or maybe you have a sewing machine and wanted to try making some on your own, but thought you didn't have the skills needed to make them. Or maybe you have felt all of the above like I did. After renovating our kitchen last year, some of the detail items had been put on the back burner. Having very large kitchen windows that face West make it very hard to see in the evenings when it is bright outside. And bare windows are not always very attractive. So when Kathy got to wanting curtains, I opened my big mouth and told her I could make them for her. Pretty confident for someone that barely knows how to use a sewing machine, huh? So we went to Joann, picked out the fabric, and I hit the workshop to try and make some custom farmhouse curtains. It's another one of those "if I can do it you can too" type of projects.
