The Southwest is a landscape and adventure photographer's dream. With rapidly changing terrain and unique rock structures, it seems as if there are endless locations to explore. We teamed up with @tamronamericas to highlight Jonny Hill, or as many of you know him, Jonny Roams. Jonny frequents these off-the-grid locations, capturing moments of light in places that don’t even appear to be part of this earth. We got a look into his creative process, the gear he uses, and his approach to adventure photography. Our journey brought us into the depths of the Utah desert, where having an overland rig is essential for reaching those otherworldly compositions.
Our travels also brought us across a number of his fellow photographer friends. Instantly, it became apparent how tight-knit this group of creatives was and how deeply their passions were rooted in pursuing epic moments together. As always these moments act as a reminder of the importance of community and what makes the world of photography unique.
