President Dr. Irfaan Ali said that some groups of people, including public sector employees and pensioners, will get their $100,000 cash grant before the end of November. The Guyanese Head of State said this on Wednesday during the inaugural edition of his new ‘In the Seat’ programme with local journalists. Already, the President said a new software application- an app- has been developed to gather citizens’ information and ensure that the one-off cash grant is distributed seamlessly and transparently. And with persons trained to use that app, community engagements will start to unfold so that people’s data can be collected and the grant, distributed.
