What discus fishes eat in the wild and how it differs from their diet in the captive aquarium. In addition looking at other aspects of their diet when analysed by scientists. Can we improve their diets by adding more algae and replicating their wild diets? Maybe this is one of the most misunderstood aquarium fishes where many believe them to be carnivores and are fed beefheart as a major part of their diet when in the wild this fish is rarely if ever eating insects.
