How to find and confirm volunteering opportunities worldwide

I mainly find volunteer opportunities on subscription based websites.

The 3 I have used in the past are Wwoof (farm based volunteering), Worldpackers (hostel based volunteering) and Workaway ( a mix of both).

Currently I am using Worldpackers.

Your first time volunteering you need to message every place in the city or country you want to go to.

Don’t get discouraged if the hosts don’t respond eventually one will.

Once you have a couple ratings and reviews hosts are more likely to respond.

I have also messaged hostels directly seeing if they need volunteers.

Once you start volunteering you’ll meet lots of nice people who have done some really interesting volunteering and if any interest you apply for it.

There are facebook groups like volunteering south america where you can find some opportunities.

I love volunteering, you meet really nice people, locals it provides a great sense of community abroad. You can do a lot of fun things and learn a lot about the city you are in and about yourself.
