In this video, I like to show you the differences in the 5 Rupees Commemorative Coin of Golden Jubilee 1965 Operations. The 5 Rupees coin is made of Nickel-brass weighing 6 grams with 23 mm diameter circular.
The commemorative coin was released from Mumbai Mint only, but there are two strikes available which the differences can be easily made out. The first strike one is a rare coin which looks as good as proof coin and is difficult to find in general circulation and the 2nd strike coin is the common circulated one.
There is a small, but significant differences with both the strikes. Observe Amar Jawan Monument in the first strike, the quality of the die is not as good as on the second strike.
You can also observe the mint mark where the ♦ mark is smaller in the first strike coin compared to the second strike coin.
The market estimated value for both the coins is also mentioned in the video.
