In the 1950s, the US Government was fighting a communist paramilitary rebel group in the Philippines. So the CIA tried to resolve it the obvious way: by staging vampire attacks to scare the superstitious rebels and end the war. Technically they were pretending to be a creature of Philippine mythology known as the Aswang, but that thing is so terrifying that we're just gonna lean into the vampires for this video. The mastermind behind it all was CIA operative Edward Lansdale, the father of psychological warfare. As long as the psychological warfare in question involves brutal murder.
