Destiny 2 has been constantly bringing back classic exotics from Destiny 1 since it launched, and that trend has reached an apex with the triumphant return of Gjallarhorn, which is both extremely powerful, yet miraculously has not also completely murdered the meta. I thought it would be interesting to go through all the missing Destiny 1 exotics that have not made it to Destiny 2 yet, and talk about how likely it is to see them return. This was before a new Witch Queen trailer dropped, which I will make a video about instead. So, let’s begin:Zhalo Supercell (Arc projectiles have the chance to chain lightning when enemies are close together, Double kills with this weapon charge a small amount of Super energy and return ammo to the magazine) – Look, I loved Zhalo too, but given how incredibly similar this is to Riskrunner, I’m guessing this is a low chance to return. Though maybe during the Arc subclass rework? Chance of returning: 4/10. The First Curse (Bonus to range, stability, and movement speed when aiming down sights, First precision kill of the magazine refills it, granting bonuses to range and stability until the player reloads) – We just have so many exotic hand cannons that I don’t think First Curse adds much to the loot table here other than deepening the PvP hand cannon meta. Chance of returning: 2/10Red Death (Each kill heals you and speeds up reloads) – Similar situation to Riskrunner here, only with Crimson. Again, I love Red Death too, but the overlap is…significant. That said, I won’t rule it out because it’s just such a classic. Chance of returning: 5/10Boolean Gemini (Bonus Agility on precision kills. Stacks up to three times, Bonus Armor on non-precision kills. Stacks up to three times) – Literally forgot this existed at all. I would argue this is one of the least iconic exotics in Destiny history, and I don’t see it coming back. Chance of returning: 1/10. Touch of Malice (Final round of the magazine regenerates and deals bonus damage at the cost of the wielder's life force) – Finally, a true classic. To me, this seems like it could absolutely be a something like a dungeon reward weapon. Or of course, if King’s Fall returns, it could show up there. Chance of returning: 9/10Fabian Strategy (Kills with this weapon while critically wounded have a chance to start regenerating health. Increased handling, stability, and rate of fire when enemies are close. Kills automatically reload a portion of the mag) – This Titan-only auto rifle was actually a favorite of mine. If it returns, I would imagine it would be all-class, and I could see it being fun. Chance of returning: 5/10. Tlaloc (This weapon has better handling, rate of fire, and stability while the wielder's super is charged) – The classic Warlock weapon that a ton of people would like to see return (as an all-class, probably). Out of the two class-specific ones that remain, I vote this one as most likely someday.
