In case you don’t have the time to read the whole thing, here is a quick summary and recap of what we covered.
No all pink guitars are the same. As with any other guitars there are different categories. However, I think it’s pretty obvious that the majority of people who look for that specific color is likely interested into what would fall into the “kids pink guitar” category. Just try it out for yourself and Google the term and you’ll see what comes up. Tons of girly guitar versions in all shades of pink.
So, in a first step you need to figure out what you actually want and what you’re looking for when buying a pink guitar. Should it be a real playable instrument or is it rather an item that will merely serve for decoration purposes or as a toy? Obviously, these are two completely different things. Now, I know for a fact that for someone who simply doesn’t have the experience, it might actually be quite challenging to distinguish between the two of them. As I had shared with you, I had students showing up with un-playable guitars for which they had actually spent a good amount of money – only for me telling them that those are not instruments and not conducive to learn to play on.
Alright, we then moved on to discuss my Top 10 of the pink guitars that I feel are instruments that you can buy with confidence, if you really want a playable guitar. For instance, we looked at the Fender Classic Design that is a fantastic starter pink guitar for kids. Another good option is the Jameson Thinline Acoustic that actually has an output for amplification. So, I guess a pink guitar amp could be a good match for that one – even though I got to warn you, I do not know of any good amp in pink and therefore I can’t make any recommendations to you on specific models.
The Johnson JG-100-Pk is yet another pink guitar kids and adults could look at, because considering the price, this is definitely yet another one of my top pics.
I also introduced a bunch of electric guitars all of which are definitely worth taking a closer look at. Let’s take the Ibanez GRGM21 for instance, one of the best options in the pink guitar for kids category, as far as I’m concerned. Similarly, another great pink guitar for children is the Kay04P-PKG which actually comes as a bundle option, so you get a whole bunch of accessories which in this case are actually quite useful.
On that topic, we also covered a few pink guitar accessories. Again, my goal was to focus on items that have value (rather than toys) to anyone who is serious about playing the instrument. I gave you specific recommendations for pink guitar straps, a great deal to get a 12=pack of quality Dunlop pink guitar picks, and lastly, one of my all time favorites and bestsellers, the Ernie Ball pink guitar strings that you can buy in bundles of 3 or 10 sets per unit.
Alright, let’s wrap this up: make sure that you know what you want. Are pink guitars any good? It depends. The fact is that when people are looking for a pink guitar, more often than not they’re focus is on the color, rather than the characteristics and quality of the instrument. Just know what you are in for and know what you want. There’s nothing wrong with getting a toy guitar, if that’s your intention. But if you want a real instrument that can be played, I hope this video and my article over on my website gave you some concrete pointers of value.
