We take off on a backpacking trip of the Wisconsin Ice Age Trail, trekking through the Ice Age Trail Kettle Moraine South. This portion of the Ice Age Trail takes you backpacking and hiking through the Kettle Moraine State Forest. We were able to check out one of the kettle moraine backpacking shelters and do some great kettle moraine backpacking through the Ice Age Trail Blue Spring Hills Segment and Ice Age Trail Blackhawk Segment. We also completed the Ice Age Trail Whitewater Lake Segment and Ice Age Trail Clover Valley Segment to complete the Walworth and Jefferson Country Chapters of the Ice Age Trail. In terms of backpacking Wisconsin Kettle Moraine State Forest Southern Unit is worth the trip. There are great campsites and backpacking shelters on this trail. This is a very popular Ice Age Trail Backpacking destination.
