Renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer Tapan Mahmud - performing at Chirayata web series - The Best Bengali Entertainment Online
Tapan Mahmud a renowned singer of Rabindra Sangeet from Bangaladesh, started his singing career as early as 1980. Boitalik cultural group was founded by Tapan Mahmud. In 1958 at the age of 5 Mahmud started taking muscic lesson from Narayan Chandra Saha, thereafter from Fazle Nizami and Arabinda Bishwas. He rendered songs in Bangladesh Betar, and Bangladesh Television as a special grade artist since 1969. During Liberation War of Bangladesh ( Muktu Yuddho ) in 1971 he joined Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, he also performed in Akashbani - The national radio of India ( All India Radio ).
