Northeast of Sparks and Reno, Nevada is the rural oasis of Spanish Springs. The Sky Ranch Airport used to be a massive attraction to the area. Spanish Springs has plenty of shopping and dining options for every taste. In Eagle Landing Plaza, you’ll find a Save Mart and Bully’s Sports Bar & Grill, a local’s favorite. The Sparks Galleria is 10 minutes south of Spanish Springs via Pyramid Way. This center is buzzing with activity from Costco Wholesale, Sprouts, Marshalls, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Red Hawk’s features include David’s Grill, two event venues, and two fitness facilities, plus the Villas at Red Hawk for visitors. Farther west is Kiley Ranch Golf Course and Bar, a public nine-hole course, with a FootGolf course, an event center, and a clubhouse with a full bar.

If you’re looking for more outdoor recreation, try the Lazy 5 Regional Park and Splash Park. Complete with a field, jungle gym, and water park in summer months, there’s a little bit of something for everyone here. Eagle Canyon Park and East Canyon Park are more convenient to the Spanish Springs community and offer a Little League field, baseball fields, soccer field, and another splash park. The Spanish Springs Skate Park located just west of the Spanish Springs Library is perfect for anyone looking for an extra thrill.

Spanish Springs Elementary School serves young students of the northern community, before sending them into Shaw Middle School. Eagle Canyon Drive is home to both Shaw Middle School and Spanish Springs High. Spanish Springs High School, home of the Cougars, was constructed in 2001 and has helped spare the commutes for students and parents.
