A project for any celebration including a New Years celebration; a hot way to repurpose your empties while you light up the night. DIY lamp, liquid fuel candle, tiki torch, or lantern. Watch as I test out two fuel options and several types of DIY wicks. Great for celebration accent lighting, emergency light or basic lighting when power is not available. All of the materials are pretty easy to find and the assembly can be done in 30 minutes or less. Make them on the fly and give them out as "participation trophies" to those who entertained you most when celebrating (I'm kinda kidding but also kinda not kidding).

Warning: this project uses alcohol (& other fuels) and fire and can be dangerous if not handled very carefully. Use extreme care and have appropriate fire precautions at the ready. You will encounter sharp edges and hot aluminum so handle with care. You are liable for your actions and any outcomes so make certain to do your own research and be prepared. Work in a well ventilated location. Use the lights on flame and heat resistant surfaces only. Fill bottles roughly 50% full. ENJOY!
