Members of Parliament from Kasese have condemned campaigns that are calling for the split of the district. The MPs, speaking at Parliament, say the proposed split is fueled by what they call “self seeking” leaders dividing the district along tribal lines. Leader of Opposition Winnie Kizza said the people of Kasese are not in support of this split.
