Oranges, lemons and avocados are some of the fruits being grown in B.C.’s South Coast — thanks to a group of growers experimenting with growing subtropical and Mediterranean fruit in a province typically deemed too cold for them. The growers say they hope to inspire more conversations around food security and climate resilience.
