In this episode, ECA's director of legal and commercial Rob Driscoll is joined by trades business coaches Alison Warner and Dan Jackson, aka Dans the Engineer.

Alison Warner, entrepreneur and finalist of the UK’s Best Business Women Awards, is dubbed ‘The Trades Coach’ and is renowned for her pioneering work within the industry. Her bestselling book Build and Grow: How to go from Tradesperson to Managing Director in the Construction and Trade Industries has become a seminal text for the sector, winning 5-star reviews across the board. A former trouble-shooter for Starbucks, Pizza Hut and other Fortune 500 companies, Alison founded the Evolve and Grow business coaching company in 2010 and has used her experience to boost hundreds of businesses, from building contractors to electrical engineers.

Dan Jackson, well-known to the electrical industry as Dans the Engineer, became an electrical apprentice at 16 and rose up the ranks of an electrical contracting company. Dan then launched his own company, which he ran and grew successfully for eight years. He then travelled the world with his family for a year. Now back in the UK, Dan offers bespoke business coaching to tradespeople looking for support at any stage in their careers. Dan was recently named one of ECA’s Power Players, gaining recognition from key industry figures for his work.
