Lex Braes is a Brooklyn-based painter. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art , Dundee, Scotland (1974-1979), Brooklyn Museum Art School (1979-1980), University of California at San Diego under Allan Kaprow in MFA program (1983-1984). He has been a visiting professor at the Pratt Architecture Institute since 2004. He is currently represented by Felix Ringel Galerie, Duesseldorf. Lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
