The video shows the path between Elgersburg and Hohe Warte (Carl Eduard Warte) in the Thuringian Forest. After many snow storms, the sun finally came out... Enjoy the nice winter forest!
Watch in 4K!
I composed and recorded the soundtrack especially for this video. © All rights reserved.
All clips were recorded with Dannes 5.7K anamorphic mode. With this mode I got 1920x2340 (unsqueezed to 5760x2340) @ 23.976fps and 12bit lossless. Crop is 1.0x. This mode uses the full sensor width.
The RAW footage has been processed (color corrected and graded) in MLVApp only and was downscaled to 4K on export. The RAW footage could be processed relatively easy, correcting the white balance in snow, where smallest differences could ruin your footage. For gradation, the MLVApp included neural network film simulations, toning features and artificial vignette were used. Unfortunately, YouTube compression kills most of the detail, e.g. in all the branches of the trees.
