Embedding is a crucial step in tissue preparation. We’re working with lung this week. If you don’t know what embedding is, embedding is the step where tissues are surrounded by molten wax which then solidifies, creating a block suitable for cutting thin tissue sections. Paraffin wax is the typical embedding agent used.
