On November 1942, the German minesweeper M101 collided with the steamship Marflesa outside Roan in Norway.
The M101 sank immediately after the collision, taking the lives of 13 German sailors. The M101 was 68 m long and has only recently been discovered by local divers, who found the wreck in exposed waters outside Trondelag.
