Some prime property in South Toledo could soon become a park. But will it become a mobile home park or an industrial park?
The Toledo plan commission put off a decision last week on a zoning change for the mobile home park proposal, to give all sides 30 days to work out a deal. Some on city council want to see the land instead turned into a mini-Arrowhead Park.
Some green space along Angola Rd. could mean immediate "green" for the property owner and the developer of Floral Park, a proposed senior manufactured home community. But some on Toledo City Council say that's the last thing South Toledo needs—because the area is saturated with 1400 mobile home sites within a one-mile radius of the site.
