Many leaders will say "leadership is not a popularity contest". Fair point. But then they make the jump to claim "it doesn't matter if people like you as their leader". We humbly disagree. In this video we present evidence to support why are your job as a leader is to be liked. You may disagree with this one. Many leaders do. We just hope you still like us anyway!

Michelle Rushton and Shaun Kenny started this People of Influence channel to energise and equip leaders and aspiring leaders who want to have a greater impact on the world and in their workplaces; who want to become People of Influence. This channel is meant for high performing individuals who are managing people and want tools to get the best out of others and themselves.
These skills can also be applied if you are a business owner, entrepreneur, work in sales/business development or are a high performing professional.
Through their corporate consultancy People of Influence they help organisations train, coach and develop their leaders, build high performing teams, and engineer behaviour change at scale.
Their experience and expertise is informed by over a decade of working with some of the world’s great companies as clients and is backed by years of applying insights from the fields of psychology/behavioural science, applied neuroscience, neuroeconomics and behavioural economics.
Some of the management and leadership skills they help develop include improving personal presence, personal brand, influence and charisma; increasing resilience & grit (antifragility); motivating their people; having impactful conversations (whether they be coaching, feedback, difficult conversations or selling conversations); presentation skills for inspiration and persuasion; embedding a growth mindset over a fixed mindset and a scout mindset over a soldier mindset; embedding psychological safety, candour and trust in teams; influencing without authority; creating culture change and behavior/behaviour change.
