I vividly remember mom cooked this recipe for a friend who visited during playtime. We were as young as 8 years old. My friend told my mom that she'd never tried steamed rice as nice as this and I was so proud at that very moment. 😻

Ingredients:
This recipe serves 4 to 5 people.
3 medium sized shallot
3 cloves garlic
2 small blocks ginger
2 tablespoons dried shrimp
1/2 kg mustard green (gai choy in Cantonese)
1 can luncheon meat (spam)
3 cups basmati rice
2 tablespoons salt (1 tbsp used when frying vegetables, another during frying rice)
Note : Luncheon meat/spam is salty on its own
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame seed oil
-Some cooking oil
-Enough hot water to cook rice. Don't use too much to prevent wet rice, you may add gradually during cooking.

SECRET ⭐: Use a non-stick pan/wok. Add water to cover rice, add gradually during cooking when not enough.
