Princess Diana Biographer Andrew Morton says Princess Diana was a fan of the monarchy but was not a fan of Charles becoming King Charles III.
“She once said to me that she hoped that Prince Charles would go off to Italy with his lady … do some farming, sketching and leave her to bring up William to his future destiny as king,” Mr Morton told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“She was keen on the monarchy as these new letters reference but not so keen on Prince Charles becoming King Charles III.”
