In this episode we are heading to Restoran Kassim Nasi Kandar, Magazine Road, Georgetown to get our nasi kandaq fix.
Restoran Kassim is an old nasi kandar establishment that was founded by Kassim Naina, who took over his father's nasi kandar business back in the day. They go way back even before WW2. Nowadays, the grandson of Kassim, the 4th generation in the founder's family is the one who is running the business. You'd find mostly local Penangites patronising this eatery.
The first time I ate at Kassim's was back in 2016 at their old location just around the corner, across the road from GAMA supermarket. You wouldn't normally find a long waiting queue here. I'm glad I don't have to wait long in line to get a plate of nasi kandaq at Kassim's. Sometimes it's good not to have everything viraled on social medias.
