An update on my speculation for Tesla's upcoming 2020 Battery & Powertrain investor day. New findings show that UCSD researcher Shirley Meng was working with Maxwell Technologies, to commercialize the Dry Battery Electrode (DBE) manufacturing process to "industrialize a completely cobalt-free, high energy density lithium-ion battery for electric vehicles." Is this the breakthrough tech Tesla will announce at its 2020 investor day? Additionally numerous of Meng's old research colleagues have published papers with Jeff Dahn (dating back until 2017), and now work at Tesla on new battery cells. Are any of these clues/papers related to John Goodenough's breakthrough glass electrolyte? I need your help!!! Let me know what you think in the comments below!!
